31 Jul Entrepreneurship During A Pandemic
Businesses worldwide are in a crisis. No matter if initiated by a global health emergency, natural disaster or economic mechanisms, every crisis brings challenges and threats to entrepreneurs and their organizations.
As a response to mitigate Covid-19 spread, governments imposed desperate measures of social distancing, lockdowns, restrictions on travel and people gatherings. Entrepreneurs had to close their businesses temporarily, many had to significantly reduce activities, and others had to move their business to online only. Even worse, those of us that thought this would pass in a few months have learned differently and we must adapt indefinitely.
Not all business can be conducted online. The Coronavirus has influenced the entrepreneurial engagement of self-employed persons. They must find innovative solutions in all aspects of their endeavors. Owners who are ingenious are learning how to survive the pandemic. This is what entrepreneurs do, they come up with blueprints for survival.
Now is the time to adapt, not quit. We need empathetic leaders like you stepping up to guide us through this period of uncertainty. This is a time for collaboration and relationship building. Find opportunities to meet your customers where they are now.
My advice for other business owners…You are the only one who knows your business, mission and values the best. Allow yourself to tap into what is true for you and your business, you may very well find the answer.
